Location: Rineyville Community Park, Rineyville School Road,  Just 0.5 miles on the right. Directions: If coming from Etown at Severns Valley Baptist Church, get on 1600 heading towards Rineyville. Continue straight and when you get to the round-a-bout, go 3/4 of the way around and get off on Rineyville School Road. You’ll see the Rineyville Community Park on the right.

Heartland Festival in the Park :Rescheduled Fireworks

“The Heartland Festival fireworks will be rescheduled in conjunction with our Christmas festivities that will take place downtown on Saturday, December 13th.  More information regarding schedules, etc. will be available at a later date.  This is all the information I have at this time.  Thank you.”

There will be plenty of great food from commercial and food vendors ready to serve our community at this traditional event for Hardin County!

  • 5:00 pm Mud Volleyball Tournament
  • 6:30pm -Baby Contest for children ages 0-5 – OFF SITE at PRITCHARD COMMUNITY CENTER. Want to register your child? You can pre-register your child by picking up a registration form at the Republic Bank or the Pritchard Community Center. Here is the Baby Contest Registration Form.  Please note it is only $10 for pre-registration but it is $15 to register your child the day of the contest.  Once you have completed the registration form, send it and a $10 check made out to the City of Elizabethtown to the following address:

  • 7:30pm -(FREE)  Family-Friendly Movie at the Bandstand. Featured Movie is going to be ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs’. Bring your chairs and blankets and maybe…just maybe you’ll be able to capture a few lightning bugs while you wait for the movie to begin!

Whether you are new to the area or you just moved here, this is the fall event you do not want to miss if you enjoy seeing a lot of vendors in one location, the taste of great foods, and a feel of small town America enjoying a delightful Saturday afternoon. filled with fun.

Be sure and come to Glendale and get in place because the parade starts at 10am. During the parade you will be able to enjoy a huge assortment of floats, cars, old tractors and everything else that makes a parade special!

This festival began in 1976 as the Glendale Community Festival, and was part of the United States celebration of its’ 200th birthday. The Glendale Crossing Festival is always held the third Saturday in October.

Contact person for the “official” Crossing Festival booths is Sheree Vance, 270-369-6188. Several local merchants, churches and individuals also rent booth spaces for the event.


Be sure and stop at The Whistle Stop for AMAZING food while you are there if you want to have a truly awesome dining experience!

Parking – When you get to the general area of the festival, you’ll see that parking is about everywhere and you pretty much want to park where you can find a spot! Trust me, you’ll get out of your car, and just start following the crowd!  See you there!

Cecilia Days is something you can look forward to each year the second weekend of August. It’s a fun family-friendly event in Cecilia, Kentucky and a great chance to come get to know your community a little more!  Take a look at all of the events happening below!

People’s choice tasting starts a 1:00 pm. Craft vendors will be open to public on Saturday morning and Bama Boy BBQ will be serving pulled pork sandwiches along with grilled hamburgers and hotdogs starting at 10:00am. Come and enjoy the day with some good food and good friends!
